8 examples of ICTs in school

Computers: in computing classrooms, the computers are used to investigate and research stuff. They can also be used to do excercises online.

The projector: it can be used to project images from the internet for the whole class.

iPad/tablet: they can be used as computers, and they can have educational apps.

Document cameras: they are apps that can display students progress in a document or work. 

Photos/cameras: for showing evidence or progress in an activity or proyect. 

Social media platforms: things like Edmodo or even Facebook to make a group of all classmates and teachers.

WiFi: used to connect the whole school to an Internet network for research and education purposes.

Electronic boards: used to make teaching easier for teachers.

Personal opinion

My conclusion is that ICTs are an important factor in our lifes now at these days. The are almost everywhere and they work and help for anything. You sometimes even use ICTs and not even notice it. They are very useful for school and they make teaching and learning much easier. If it wasn’t for ICTs, school would be much harder

Areas where ICTs are used

ICTs can be used in these four areas:

Education: technology is used to make teaching easier and help kids learn through the internet and information

Ej: In Tec, de Monterrey we use iPads to research information.

We also use them to download books for the classes that we take.

iPads are also used for downloading apps that can help us in school.

Business: it can help staff members, CEOs and others have information in the tip of their hands, and always.

Ej: Companies can get quick information for their business.

They can send memos, business letters, and other things to send information.

They can also research more ways to improve their products for better performance.

Medicine: it can help do some investigations about medicine science and there are a lot of devices used for attending patients.

Ej: the X-Ray machine helps you to see your bones and how they are doing.

Machines like the ones that take your pulse can help you know your health.

You can research ways of curing illness at your home and consult it with the doctor.

Home: you use information technologies like a hobby sometimes too. When you search for things on the internet and things like that.

Ej: when you are messaging your friends at home, you are using and ICT.

Also when you research stuff in a discussion with your family.

When you play videogames online in consoles like the Xbox.

Conclusion
ICTs are everywhere in these days, and you even use the, whithout noticing it. When you message your friends for homework or when you research a celebrity’s real name, you are using ICTs. They are incredible technologies that can connect people around the world and provide easy information to everyone.

Internet and Cloud Services

The internet is a world wide network that consists of interconnected computers and computing devices. It provides a series of communication facilities and a lot of information. It can access different webpages, and it mostly uses the WWW.

Browsers
A browser is a software that lets you access different webpages through it. It locates and displays the webpage, and it mostly uses languages like HTML and XML.
Examples: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Edge.

Search engines
It is a service that uses the WWW to allow user to access webpages. It works by analizing keywords or key phrases and searching relations to them.
Examples: Google, Yahoo, Ask, Bing, AOL.

Cloud service
It allows you to store documents on the Internet instead of your computer, and you can also work on a document with a lot of people at the same time.
Examples: Dropbox, iCloud, Google Drive, Mega, Digital Ocean.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air




It is about a guy that lives in Philladelphia and he gets into a fight, so his mom sends him to his
uncle´s house. His uncle is kind of a rich person, so he is practically starting a new life with them. He also has an aunt and 3 cousins, and everyday is a new adventure in his uncle´s house in Bel-Air.

I like it because it is really funny, and the plot is very creative. Something is always happening in this series, and you grow attached to the characters, specially to Will Smith, the Fresh Prince.

Networks and WWW

A network is a lot of computer systems and computing hardware devices that are connected together through communication channels. It makes communication and sharing of information much easier.
Types of networks
LAN: (Local Area Network) It is a network for a room only, and it connects the devices in it.
MAN: (Metropolitan Area Network) I connects various LANs in a city or a big campus.
WAN: (Wide Area Network) It connects MANs and LANs around a wide area, like a city or group of citites.

What is World Wide Web?
It is a big network, formatted in HTML, that connects people all around the world.
